Credit and debit card usage is increasing every year. Does your business accept these popular forms of payment? If not, you may be missing out on higher sales associated with debit and credit card transactions, as well as potential customers who will choose the business that accepts their preferred payment. What do merchant services providers offer?
Terminal Options and Advanced Payment Solutions
F&M Bank offers multiple point-of-sale (POS) terminal options to help meet your budget and performance requirements. Whether it’s processing payments through your terminal, telephone, or on your P.C., F&M Bank can make it happen at a minimal expense. We can also help you figure out the right payment methods for your business to accept in order to satisfy your customer base while maximizing profit and minimizing costs.
Fraud and Technical Support
In addition to POS terminals, F&M’s merchant account services team can increase your administrative and accounting efficiency with monthly statements and reports, chargeback and fraud assistance, and technical support.
Why should businesses think beyond “cash only?”
From direct deposit to online banking, we live in a world in which people increasingly use digital tools to manage their money. They also no longer visit the bank every Friday to deposit a paycheck and withdraw cash for the week. That makes a business’s “cash only” policy more than an inconvenience to customers. It may dissuade them from even setting foot inside, taking their money and loyalty elsewhere to a place that accepts their favorite card.
Many small business owners choose “cash only” because they are intimidated by the cost and burden of obtaining a POS terminal to accept debit cards, credit, and other electronic payment methods. However, working with a local merchant services provider like F&M Bank makes it easy to accept a variety of payment methods. And when customers aren’t limited by the amount of cash in their wallet, they often spend more, adding impulse purchases or additional services to the primary thing that brought them to you.

Merchant Bankcard Compliance Log-in
If our bank processes credit card payments for your business, you have a PCI security compliance requirement which is done online. Each merchant needs to log in to a secure website to complete the procedures.
Existing customers received a letter in November 2009 which contained login information. New customers receive login information soon after they open their merchant bankcard account.
ATTENTION REQUIRED - Every merchant who stores, transmits or processes cardholder information is required to maintain compliance with the PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). In support of this important industry mandate, we require all merchants to validate their PCI DSS compliance status with us. THIS VALIDATION MUST BE DONE ON AN ANNUAL BASIS. IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY DONE SO OR IF IT HAS BEEN A YEAR SINCE YOU LAST VALIDATED, PLEASE VISIT https://www.pciapply.com/pci2/pci_fihd_login.aspx AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO BEGIN THE PROCESS. Failure to certify and maintain PCI Compliance may result in significant fees and fines. Please feel free to contact the PCI Compliance Helpdesk at (877) 277-1176 if you have questions or need assistance in any way. We appreciate your prompt attention to this important matter!
